December

This is a play on words (actually, it’s a gogyohka)  based on writing prompts at the Gooseberry Garden. (Choose from Snow, December, Winter, Vacations and Wilderness – these are the themes for the Third Poetry Picnic… check out the website for the entire prompt, I’m too lazy to type it out LOL) Enjoy…

December

Wind turned cold,

biting,savage intent.

Gluttonously consuming

every heat signature –

Close the window.

  3. Ah yes, winter consumes everything in its way for sure! I am tired of it, and it really hasn’t yet officially started.

    • Well as I’m from Barbados, we don’t HAVE winter … what I’m considering chilly will probably be a nice cool night for you! But I’m glad that it speaks to you, whether you’re from a temperate country or not! Thanks for visiting!
