Danger

Been battling some serious emotional issues recently.  As those who have been here for a while know, that means a brain dump is in the works right?  As I processed my feelings …. they come out here.  So, enjoy the work, even though it’s coming from a dark place right now.

Danger

Black viscous tar oozes from pores

scalding skin

sulfur –ing

attacking nostrils

cruel punch sends head reeling

disoriented consciousness

keeling under weight  of noxious fumes

stealing oxygen:

cruelly consumed

to send soul to hell by asphyxiation

Sudden eclipse

blackness swallows sun

eyes red, unseeing

pounding hammers  pumping blood:

unwielding sludge .

rising pressure –

tiny fissures releasing pent up emotions

dark fumes clouding

lashing out!

Beware!

  1. You know this is the very reason why I love writing, music, art. It touches the heart of where real people are and experiences and it helps, rather heals others to know they are not the only ones with their issues, problems, etc you say this is dark, I say its a spark of emotion that we have all came across at one point in time.

  6. I can feel the suffocating power of strong emotion here–rage welling under the skin. Good stuff.

  7. vicious man…great getting us right in the grit of the emotion by bringing in the tar which hits all the senses…and your rapid fire give way to the feeling as well…

  8. Even though it emanates from a dark place, the flow is sharp and focused. When you can take the negativity and turn it into art, that’s talent. Great job!

  10. This poem is pretty immense, quite dark but at the same time enjoyable to read. I like the very last line (word) ‘Beware!’, a very honest warning.

  13. Dark indeed my friend, a visceral execution of torment within this. Very well penned expression. I send you my love during times of high and low and thank you for your constant friendship and support! ❤ ~ Rose

    • Thanks Sheila! *hugs* My pen diffuses the time bomb so effortlessly – I pour myself out and I can literally feel the anger and frustration flow through my fingers as I type … I can sense it sliding out and pooling at my feet like ice melting into a pool of liquid emotion.
