Just had a quick flash of inspiration today – it’s a quick little verse, not really one that I put much thought into … was throwing some sweet talk, and this came out:
Contradictions
Thoughts of love
twist
like a child’s windmill
blowing furiously
in the gusts
of my
devotion
My love blows
kisses
that float
daintily
and rest
like butterflies
upon the welcome platform
of your
heart
Oh! I love it! So sweet and wistful. “the welcome platform / of your / heart” Lovely! 🙂

Thanks! LOL It just came out – just like that 😀
Wrote it for my new love – and also just for the fun of writing! That’s why it was basically just jotted down quickly and posted lol

Nice. Makes me introspective. How big is the “welcome platform” of my heart?

Yeah – hope it’s big enough for her love to rest there – butterflies aren’t that big man – she should be able to fit 🙂

I liked that too Rai… I wrote the poem before naming it – and it was that contrast that made me choose the name “Contradictions”
