Coming off of the erotic for a bit. I have been aware of rumors being spread about me and I have not been a happy camper. These people have been calling my lady and dropping hints about me and I had to defend myself unnecessarily for things that aren’t even true! I have dropped out of a lot of personal appearances because I did not want to see anyone. I was writing how I felt (yes, for all you long-time readers of this page, this is a brain dump) and I have sat on it for a while. Now, the time where I should have said something in person to those circulating these vicious rumors has probably passed, but I will share the poem I wrote to process my feelings. For those who have been gossiped about, you know how this feels. Here is my new piece -
Decay
Ironic that people have time to be cobras
Spitting lies like venom,
Rumours like acid;
Noses buried
Like a paro looking for sustenance
In the refuse heap of other people’s leftover lives.
Ironic
People are crabs.
Scrabbling to the top on the backs of their fellows
Instead of uplifting
Each one
Reach one
Teach one
They are pimps
Peddling in
(mis) information
Dealing in propaganda
Snorting the addicting rush of
“He said she said they rushed into bed and ….”
Too blasted nosy
Cozying up to lies
But, then again
The lure of whispering is mesmerizing
Gossiping is the (new) ‘in’ thing
As they huddle around their dealer
Their stupidity is the currency used to buy this drug
Ironic
Coz this chronic is the death of the nation
Even though people crave gossip like their next caffeine fix
It is slowly throttling them from the inside
Poison so good
They don’t even know they’ve already died
They’re cast actors
Walking dead
Not a shred of humanity left
Just seeking out the next source of
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwssssss
Coz brains is so last year
Ewwwwwwwwwwww……..
That is the stench of their rotting integrity
Falling away……
