Brain Dump, fun poem, interested, love poem, superlative poem

Irrefutable

I’m on a roll! First there was Immeasurable, then Inseparable, the Indescribable and now Irrefutable … can anyone see a pattern here?  Please enjoy my latest poem in this series! I’ve coined the phrase “Superlative Poetry” to describe the feelings each poem gives!

Irrefutable

My love for you is irrefutable.
Even though it is indescribable by societal standards
And is incapable of fitting into their neat boxes,
It works for us, fits perfectly aligned to our choices.
Our love is deeper than the traditional,
The philosophical make-up is metaphysical,
The theorem of our love’s proof is incalculable
by those who refuse to have open minds,
Whose mindset blinds them to the truth of new experiences.
We buck tradition; done keeping up appearances to fit in with their standards.
We no longer pander to them…

It’s true…
my love for you is irrefutable.

It’s like a law that no longer needs to be proven by physics;
In specifics, it’s an unspoken rule that exists without challenge.
It’s like we’re telepathic, not having to speak to be understood,
Our connection’s so strong, not even distance can break it –
No naysayers’ doubt can shake it – though many are trying,
Since our love could never be so strong; they think we’re lying
And say that they could never do what we do – but … we never asked them to!
My love for you is as unique as fingerprints
As my fingers print the evidence of my feelings across your flesh
Every night we start afresh; branding our love with trademarks of Passion,
Every action the reflection of the singleness of We
Proving practically what others can’t understand of our theory
That we have our own rules – you are my sun, I’m your earth in its gravity
And, like other natural laws, there’s no need for further proof
The truth is simple:
My love for you is …

Irrefutable.

  2. I truly love this Poem. It reminds me when I first fell in love with my husband. So many say it would not work, yet here we are 14 years later. Fabulously written and so much feeling in it.
